Remuneration Range Grade 19 Commencing from $102,229.40 (Grade 19, step 1) plus 11.5% superannuation
Council Overview
Strathfield Council (Council) is a medium sized Council located in Sydney’s Inner West. The area of the Council comprises approximately 14 square kilometres and has an estimated population of 46,000 residents, which is growing at 2.5-3% annually. Based on NSW Government projections, the population will increase to over 80,000 by 2036.
About the Role
Strathfield Council is seeking an engaged Library Customer Experience Coordinator to join our Library Services Team on a permanent, full-time basis.
The position of Library Customer Experience Coordinator is to effectively lead and manage a multi-disciplined team, responsible for Customer Services and Programs & Outreach to ensure delivery of exceptional customer experience.
This position will be required to recognise and support the changing learning and information needs of the community and deliver information, services and programs and evaluate outcomes as part of continuous quality improvement.
It will provide detailed reports, research, business cases, grant submissions, award applications, presentations and reports to support Council decision making and the development of projects, policies, and strategies.

Selection Criteria
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Completion of recognised degree in Library and Information Studies (eligible for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association) or equivalent
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability in managing customer experience in library services and programs, including evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Sound knowledge of policies, procedures, practices and future trends relating to library services and programs
- Advanced interpersonal, communication and customer service skills including the ability to successfully liaise with a wide variety of customers and external groups.
- Exceptional oral and written skills, including report writing skills that will be effective in influencing quality customer outcomes both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time, plan, organise and maintain workflow to achieve established goals, objectives and priorities, either individually or as a member of the library team.
- Financial management skills and demonstrated experience in managing an operational budget and allocating resources effectively and efficiently.
- Current Class C driver licence.
