About the Role
In this role you will lead the Waste Operations team to deliver domestic & commercial waste and recycling services to meet the current and future service needs of the community and ensure Council successfully meets its targets and statutory obligations. You will manage operational requests, collection issues, commercial waste sales and a marketing plan. You will oversee action feedback from key stakeholders, Illegal Dumping, Waste Services database and systems.
Your commencing annual salary will range from $92,096.46 to $119,725.40 per annum + Superannuation, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in leading and managing a small team
- Tertiary qualifications in Waste Management, Business Management, Environmental Science, Marketing or equivalent technical skills and/or relevant experience in Waste Management
- Demonstrated ability to oversee the marketing, sales and running of a commercial waste program (Desired)
- Experience in evaluating Development Applications to ensure compliance with waste standards and service requirements (Desired)
- Excellent written communication skills and report writing skills
- Class C drivers' licence
