About the Role
Join the City of Ryde and use your engineering and asset planning expertise in a role that offers professional challenges, immense satisfaction, and exposure to a wide range of asset management and engineering practices. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in delivering Council's infrastructure renewal and refurbishment program. From roads to stormwater systems, your technical advice will ensure the functionality, safety, and sustainability of vital civil infrastructure assets. Additionally, you'll have the responsibility of preparing Council's Four-Year Delivery Plan for the civil infrastructure program. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a lasting impact while expanding your skillset in a dynamic environment.
A salary range negotiable from $114,000 p.a. + 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance + Leaseback Vehicle + Superannuation, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
About You
- Be a qualified Civil Engineer with a degree recognised by Engineers Australia.
- Strong experience overseeing the construction, design, and maintenance of civil and pavement infrastructure assets.
- Experience and understanding of road pavement investigations and designs.
- Sound technical knowledge of road design, road construction, infrastructure asset management, road marking, and survey procedures.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with experience negotiating with community groups and various infrastructure stakeholders.
- Experience in scoping of projects, briefing and managing consultants. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Current drivers' licence.
