About the Opportunity

Strathfield Council is seeking a community orientated and customer focused Community Bus Driver - Casual to join our Environmental Sustainability and Compliance Team.

Reporting to the Community Bus Driver (Team Leader), you will be providing the municipality with an invaluable service of safety and sustainably transporting community members around Strathfield’s Local Government Area (LGA).

The role entails the operation of a passenger vehicle of up to 24 passengers on two defined routes within an allocated timetable. This role provides an amazing opportunity to be amongst the public in a social manner, showing members of the community around Council’s beautiful LGA.

About You

  • You will enjoy working in a socially engaging work environment that will test your customer service skills and abilities. You will be a safety-orientated driver with the ability to promote the image of Council’s bus service as welcoming and user-friendly.
  • You will have an excellent driving history with experience as a bus driver of a public passenger vehicle.
  • All applicants must hold a current NSW MR or HR licence and current NSW Bus Driver Authority. 
  • Applicants that are readily available between 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday will be highly desired.
