What is a Strategic Project Officer -Waste and Sustainability for Hume?

Working as part of the Waste and Sustainability department the Strategic Project Officer plays a vital role in supporting the team and provide high-level administrative and project support to the Manager Waste and Sustainability that facilitates the effective, timely and integrated achievement of Department projects, priorities, and outcomes.

Key Skills

  • Experience in waste and sustainability planning and policy, project management, local government, business administration or a related waste and sustainability orientated industry.
  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills, including the demonstrated ability to operate effectively in time sensitive environments.
  • Proven experience building collaborative and respected relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advance strategic priorities and resolve complex issues.
  • Highly developed written communication skills, including and the ability to prepare reports, submissions, papers, and correspondence.
