This position is responsible for the assessment and determination of development applications with the aim of facilitating development that protects the environment and contributes to the character of the Blue Mountains. The position comes with flexible working arrangements, including a nine-day fortnight and a hybrid office / working from home arrangement. The successful candidate will also have the option of entering into a vehicle use agreement (VUA) allowing private use of an allocated vehicle outside of work hours.

The successful candidate is qualified in urban planning and has relevant experience in development assessment. The position requires exceptional customer service skills and an ability to efficiently resolve complex issues through the integration of urban planning, heritage preservation, environmental assessment, development engineering and other related disciplines.

The successful candidate will have the option of entering into a vehicle use agreement (VUA) allowing private use of an allocated vehicle outside of work hours.  Private use costs are recovered in a fair and equitable manner.

Salary:  commencing at $75,585.31 - $107,149.88 gross per annum fortnight (depending on skills and experience).
