The City of Sydney is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Business Administration Manager as part of the Major Events and Festivals team.
The Major Events and Festivals team delivers the City's Cultural Plan through a series of large scale, major public and cultural events including Sydney New Year’s Eve, Sydney Lunar Festival, Sydney Christmas, Art & About, and Capital Works launch events.
The primary purpose of the position is scope, develop and implement special procurement projects for the Business Operations team to support the successful delivery of the unit’s portfolio of events and festivals. Working closely with the Head of Business Operations, Business Operations Manager and internal stakeholders such as the City’s Legal and Governance, Procurement and Risk teams, the role is responsible for driving efficient and effective procurement and contracting processes.
To be successful you will have tertiary qualifications in Business Administration or Project Management, or the equivalent competencies gained through professional experience in providing business / administrative services to a high performing operations. You will also be highly proficient in Procurement and Contract Management, with superior written communication and demonstrated experience working successfully with cross-functional teams to implement the City’s strategic priorities. You will be able to navigate commercial concerns and timelines with a strong adherence to governance, risk and legal considerations in order to meet the unit’s outcomes.

You will possess maturity, discretion, sound judgement and the capacity to act autonomously, with demonstrated experience working in a high performing, collaborative team.
