Cabonne Council has exciting opportunities to join the Transport and Urban Infrastructure teams as Technical Officers.
The Transport Technical Officer is responsible for providing technical support in the survey, design and delivery of transport infrastructure, including road design, storm water design, kerb and guttering design.
The Water & Wastewater Technical Officer is responsible for conducting on-site inspections to collect, analyse and enter asset data relating to Council's Urban assets, buildings, facilities and land.

These roles are full-time, based out of the Cudal office.

Qualifications:
Essential
- Construction Induction Certification (White Card).
- Class C driver’s licence.
Desirable

Relevant Tertiary (preferably Diploma) qualification in civil engineering or equivalent experience.
Skills & Experience Technical Officer - Transport
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a local government setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and ability to, interpret and apply relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines.
- A proven ability to interpret technical data and create cost effective and efficient design solutions.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering quality customer service and responsiveness to customer requests.
- Competent computer skills in Word, Excel and Access, MapInfo, QGIS, Reflect MMS, Autocad,
- Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to present concise, accurate oral and written reports.
Skills & Experience Technical Officer - Water, Waste Water
- Demonstrated understanding and/or experience within an engineering discipline.
- Ability to interpret technical data, create cost effective design solutions.
- Good computer and systems skills and the ability to learn and apply new technologies (AutoCAD)
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering quality customer service and responsiveness to customer requests.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders.
- Understanding of project management and project delivery.

- This position is graded 7-8 ($1211.30 - $1432.90 gross per week).
