THE OPPORTUNITY

As a library assistant you will enjoy a role where no two days are the same! You will work in a customer facing environment assisting customers with accessing library resources and facilities.

The position is 4 hours per week and will undertake a range of identified customer service and operational activities in the branch library.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO

  • Provide a high standard of information and reader's advisory services

  • Deliver excellent face to face customer service to all library users

  • Issue and return library materials

  • Re-shelving and shelf reading

  • Operate library equipment

  • Respond to borrowers enquiries and provide basic information services.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

  • Higher School Certificate

  • Sound computer and keyboard skills

  • Demonstrated commitment and experience in providing quality customer service

  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

ABOUT YOU

You have a passion for helping people. You have experience in delivering front facing customer service, are customer focused and tech savvy with a can do attitude. You enjoy providing high quality customer services to the community.

You will be organised, self motivated and value the opportunity to work as part of a team.

Salary: $6,110 - $7,101 per annum (pro rata) plus superannuation
