About the Role

This role provides support and assisting to the Senior Coordinator Activation & Compliance in delivering a wide range of engineering outcomes, with a particular focus on managing and facilitating the processing of Development Applications and providing impact assessments of development activities, including development compliance matter and the handling of public enquires and complaints. This role will also serve as a mentor to less experienced engineering staff in the team.

About You

You will have exceptional interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills including the ability to build and maintain business relationships across a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

In addition you will also have:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Proven broad experience in one or more of the following: roads and storm water drainage design, floodplain management, road pavements, environmental planning and assessment, traffic engineering, electrical network planning; footpath/cycleway planning; asset management
  • Robust understanding and working knowledge of relevant legislation including the Roads Act, 1993, sections of the Local Government Act, 1993, and the Environmental Protection and Assessment Act 1979, as applied to the responsibilities of the position.
  • Significant experience and understanding of the development approvals process (DA process) for all forms of developments and development non- compliance matter.
  • Experience in the application of environmental legislation as it relates to development consent/application process
  • Sound knowledge of road design and construction and the application of relevant Australian Standards
  • Class C Driver's Licence
  • Covid-19 vaccinated

Your commencing annual salary will range from $101,348 to $114,568 + civil liability allowance + superannuation, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
