Team Leader – North Turramurra Golf Course

  • Salary $73,055.01 to $84,782.88 p/a + super
  • Overtime will be provided for additional hours and weekend work
  • Permanent full time position – 38 hours per week
  • Fortnightly RDO

About the role

Reporting to the Sportsfields & Golf Courses Supervisor, you will be responsible for undertaking maintenance works at North Turramurra Golf Course and recurrent works programs. To supervise a team responsible for the completion of these works. Scheduling and prioritising of these works. Ensuring that golf course maintenance requirements are completed within time frames required for optimum availability for user groups.  Ensure the provision of a quality golf course to agreed performance standards.   

Duties

  • Short list of duties
  • Extensive up to date practical knowledge and experience in the implementation of industry best practice in turf management techniques
  • Substantial experience in working on golf courses
  • Extensive supervisory experience particularly in the management of operational staff
  • Experience in a similar supervisory role within local government
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge of Horticultural principles and practices
  • High level experience in interpreting and implementing project plans and work schedules
  • Demonstrated extensive experience of plant and equipment relating to golf course and horticultural maintenance
  • Sound understanding of practical WHS requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of irrigation principles and practices

Skills & experience

  • Local Government experience preferred
  • Trade qualifications in Horticulture (Turf Maintenance) or equivalent industry experience
  • Current Class C license
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Chemcert certificate
  • WHS White Card
  • Comprehensive understanding of team work and scheduling processes
  • Herbicide and fertiliser handling and safe application
  • Customer service and response
  • Carry out effective administration duties
  • Effectively communicate with Manager, Coordinator and Team Leaders
