THE OPPORTUNITY

The Water Asset Planning Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining the register of assets and providing reports to the Water Supply and Sewerage Branch in order to effectively manage the extensive water and sewer assets managed and owned by Council.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO
  • Assist with the strategic planning for asset management
  • Provide input into the replacement of assets and review of Life Cycle costs
  • Regularly liaise with other Council staff on projects
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED
  1. Diploma in Engineering or related discipline
  2. Experience with asset management software and computer modelling of water and sewerage systems or similar utilities
  3. Demonstrated understanding of asset management principles
  4. Previous experience in database management demonstrating attention to detail
  5. Demonstrated understanding of principles of continuous improvement
  6. Superior computer skills with demonstrated use of word processing, spreadsheets and other Microsoft programs 
ABOUT YOU

You will have previous experience and a demonstrated understanding of asset management software and principles.  You enjoy working with data and will have an eye for detail.  You will have previous experience working with large databases with the demonstrated capacity to maintain an accurate and up-to-date information.

Salary: $72,287-$84,010 per annum plus superannuation
