THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for 2 x Payroll Officer's who are excellent communicator's, highly organised and with good attention to detail. Working with an efficient and dynamic small team, the Payroll Officer is responsible for processing and assisting in the coordination and preparation of Council's fortnightly payroll in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Council Policies.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO
  • Process fortnightly payroll for a large and diverse organisation
  • Provide effective communication to the organisation in accordance with the Award and Council's Policies and Procedures
  • Assist in the implementation of Payroll system enhancements
  • Assist in the facilitation of online timesheets and online leave systems
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED
  • Demonstrated experience in payroll and/or accounting functions in a large organisation
  • Demonstrated high level proficiency of computer literacy
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • A proven ability to work co-operatively in a sensitive and confidential environment
ABOUT YOU

You are an experienced Payroll or Accounting individual with excellent attention to detail and accuracy. You will be highly efficient and confident in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Salary: $66,016 - $76,722 per annum plus superannuation
