About the Position

Wollongong City Council is seeking a strong leader to join our Property Services Team in the role of Property Management Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates to harness their strong leadership, project management and reporting skills whilst developing or expanding their skills and experience in property portfolio management.

In this role, you will lead a small team to deliver a range of property management services, from community land through to commercial property management with a focus on excellent customer service and stakeholder management. Wollongong City Council has a substantial property portfolio (with over 500 different leases) with a mix of commercial leases, community leases and compliance agreements offering a significant variety of work on a daily basis. The role offers a unique opportunity to work within multiple key performance indicators such as revenue generation, community activation and statutory compliance.

The position is a vital role within the organisation that seeks to lead a high performing team to deliver positive outcomes and ensure that Council's portfolio is managed professionally and diligently.

This position requires a dynamic professional who can demonstrate their ability to:

  • Foster a strong focus on customer service and stakeholder management.
  • Lead a small high performing team to success.
  • Develop and implement systems and reports in relation to Council's portfolio.
  • Be strategic in the management of a property portfolio
  • Work to deadlines and manage changing priorities whilst balancing the economic and social needs of Council and the community.
