About the Position:
We are investing in our largest ever capital works program and are excited to be offering an opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Design Engineer to lead the Structural arm of our Structural + Architectural team! This is a unique opportunity to combine your leadership skills and design management experience to lead, motivate and support a team of design officers and engineers, of approximately 7 staff.

You will also directly contribute to the delivery of Council's infrastructure design program, including high profile projects for our community such as bridges, swimming pools, buildings, boardwalks, retaining walls, culverts and other structures.

Your success in this role will be demonstrated through your ability to lead people and achieve high quality design outcomes. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to consult, negotiate, collaborate and engage across the division. You will also be agile, having the ability to work out non-standard solutions in a challenging environment, along with strong people skills.
