Salary: $98,853 to $110,232 per annum, plus 10% superannuation and a 9-day fortnight.

Hornsby Shire is located on Sydney's upper north shore, approximately 25 kilometres north of the CBD. Known as the ‘Bushland Shire’, our local government area is characterised by bushland comprising national park, major waterways, natural reserves and rural landscape. The rest of the Shire combines urban, rural and open spaces.

About the role

To be part of, and contribute to, a team focused on providing strategic town planning advice to Council to
determine the manner in which land is used to enhance the social, economic, environmental and recreational well being of the community.
The position services Council’s constituent and external
customers of Council and provides management support to the Strategic Planning Manager.

About you

As a valued senior member of the team, you will be involved in exciting strategic planning projects within the Hornsby local government area. 

Applicants should have completed a Town Planning Degree and have sound experience in;

* Land use planning,
* Project management
* Environmental planning, and
* Local Government legislation.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are a must. 

Please note that it is a requirement of this position for the successful applicant to be double vaccinated prior to commencing duties at Council.
