Applications are invited from suitably qualified and/or experienced individuals for the position of Transport Manager. This is a challenging role, with Council having recently completed over $50m in new road construction and continuing to undertake grant funded works for the foreseeable future.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Transport Manager is required to plan and manage road projects and direct staff and contractors delivering road construction and maintenance, TfNSW contract works, quarries, workshop, fleet and depot operations in a cost efficient and effective manner to achieve the Council’s objectives.
You will be required to lead and manage the roads crews and contractors and will need to have considerable hands on experience in road construction and maintenance as well as the ability to complete grant applications and detailed reports.
Employment is in accordance with the Local Government Award with an annualized salary agreement having a cash component of between $120k to $136k plus annual bonus and superannuation. There is also the leaseback of a Council vehicle and a fully furnished a/c three bedroom house in accordance with Council policy. The package will be negotiated to suit the skills and experience you will bring to the role.
