About the Role
The primary purpose of this position is to participate in a team that undertakes the operation, inspection, maintenance and renewal works associated with the water and sewage treatment infrastructure, which enables Council to meet both its statutory and customer obligations as a utility service provider.
The salary range for this position is $62,362.56 to $72,340.32 per annum dependent on skills, experience and qualifications.
In addition to relevant experience in mechanical fitting and holding recognised Certification IV qualifications and Class Light Rigid (LR) Licence, the successful applicant will be motivated to work within the Water and Sewer Industry with strong communication and interpersonal skills. More specifically, responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking and deliver planned mechanical maintenance programs relating to water and sewer.
- Respond to reactive mechanical failures and undertake preventative maintenance.
- Conduct asset inspections, fault finding an installation on all operational mechanical assets relating to Water and Sewer.
- Carry out routine manual labouring tasks using approved equipment within Councils WHS procedures, SWMS, risk assessments and permits to work practices.
