You're an experienced Grant and Bid Development Officer - and you have the employment history to match. You're mature and driven by delivering successful outcomes. You're a big-picture person who thrives when working towards lofty goals; needless to say, you're not easily overwhelmed. You have experience in commercial sales and more importantly experience within funding acquisitions, and you're looking to up the ante and demonstrate a bit more creativity and strategy.
About the opportunity
Without funding, there is no way that our organisation would be able to continue to deliver the essential services we provide to members of our community. Which is why a talented, passionate Grant and Bid Development Officer is so essential to our work. Your polished technical writing skills will be put to use as you take the lead in presenting high quality funding proposals.
In this newly created and fundamental role, you'll draw upon your previous knowledge of funding acquisition, research and business development to achieve the follow three strategic objectives:
- Development of a centralised grant management model and workflow tools
- Establish donor relationship management and reporting best practice
- Establishment of a 3-5-year forecast, aligned to Council's strategic objectives and demonstrating funding diversification opportunities
What do you need?
Along with prior experience in a similar role, you'll find that your sales expertise paired with your ability to create rapport with both internal and external stakeholders will stand you in good stead for this role. Your knowledge of industry policies and procedures will prove instrumental - as, of course, will your knowledge of us, and what we do: you'll need to be able to ‘sell' us to prospective donors, after all!
