The City of Sydney is seeking a highly skilled Manager to lead the Social Programs and Services unit.

This exciting and challenging role will lead the Social Programs and Services Team to deliver key outcomes of the City's Social Sustainability Strategy and Action Plan "A City for All", and contribute to the delivery of the creative, economic and environmental strategies that deliver Sustainable Sydney 2030.
As part of the division's leadership team, the Manager Social Programs and Services plays a critical role in leading a large and diverse multidisciplinary team in delivering high quality services to the community including City Spaces (community centres and venues), Child and Family Services (Early Childhood Education and Care, and Out of School Hours Care), Meals on Wheels, Community Transport and the City's Homelessness Unit.
You will: provide strategic direction and oversee development and implementation of social policies and action plans and provide expert advice on a diverse range of community and social issues.
With relevant tertiary qualifications and a deep understanding of Local Government, you will have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of social and community needs, trends and issues in the City of Sydney community.
To be successful in this role, you will have exceptional leadership and communication skills, astute political judgement and accountability in decision-making. The ability to work with a variety of key stakeholders at commercial, local, state and federal government levels is essential.
