Balranald Shire Council is seeking a suitably experienced and qualified senior executive for the position of General Manager.
To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have a strong track record of achievements at a senior executive level, preferably in local government. You will possess highly advanced capabilities in the areas of business management, leadership, financial management and asset management. Your ability to work closely with the community has been demonstrated in your previous roles at a senior level.
You will be seen as an inclusive and inspirational leader, a highly skilled communicator with strong influencing and negotiation skills and the ability to develop and nurture effective external relationships with key government stakeholders, regional allies and the Shire’s diverse community.
Council offers a five-year contract with a very attractive remuneration package including a leaseback vehicle, subsidised accommodation in a modern Council owned house and four weeks’ annual leave.
