We are implementing a single integrated enterprise resource planning solution to enable us to realise efficiencies for our staff and community.

The Role and You

The role of Waste Manager is an opportunity for a motivated individual with highly developed technical waste skills, with the ability to bring-together, develop and inspire a team of waste professionals. With a forward-thinking outlook you will be responsible for implementing industry best practice, in line with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements and Council’s Waste Management Strategy.

You will be responsible for strategic leadership which results in best-outcomes for the community in relation to resource recovery, waste management and sustainability. In this role you will manage all waste services, including kerbside collection and waste management facilities, that are resourced to provide a level of service that meets or exceeds community expectations.

As an organisational leader you will be responsible for working with and influencing with regard to responsible waste practices.

As the Manager of a team you will be responsible for getting the best out of those who work with you, with a team focus on customer service and continuous improvement.

Package

A remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate. This package will include a vehicle option.

Location

You will be initially based at Council’s Taree offices, working from other sites as required. Council is planning to move to new offices in Taree South in early 2021.
