Woollahra Municipal Council seeks to appoint a suitably qualified, highly motivated and experienced senior executive with a proven successful track record of providing strong and authentic leadership and continuous improvement in support of Council’s strategic capacity and direction.
Reporting to the Mayor and accountable directly to the Council, the General Manager will lead a multi-disciplined team responsible for the strategic, social and economic sustainability of the community. The General Manager will lead the Executive Team with overall management responsibility for Council’s operations and ensuring that community
needs are met.
To meet the needs of this critical leadership role, candidates will need to be proven senior executives or high calibre aspirants with well-rounded experience, supported by a successful track record of delivering improved outcomes and performance. Candidates must be dynamic and have a well-developed skill set across strategic planning, leadership, stakeholder management, finance and communications. A strong commitment to community engagement, continuous improvement and quality customer service is required, as is the ability to balance competing demands in a highly diverse and politically challenging environment.
