About the Role

Reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer you will be responsible for providing financial expertise to managers and staff to support sustainable decision making and maximise the financial performance of Council. Additional duties will include assisting with the preparation of Council's quarterly budget review and the delivery of the annual budget and revenue policy within agreed timeframes. You will also gain exposure to the preparation of Council's Resourcing Strategy, including the analysis of THE Long Term Financial Plan, Asset Management Plans and the Workforce Plan.


Salary for this position is based on skills, experience and qualifications and will range from $84,930.56 to $98,519.20 plus superannuation.

About You

In addition to holding a degree in Finance or Business, majoring in Accounting you will have the ability to prepare and review complex reconciliations and complete financial reports. You will have good analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to drive change through policy, procedural and system improvements. You will ideally have an understanding of Local Government operations and the Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework.
