Charters Towers Regional Council is looking for a passionate and experienced leader for the key position of Manager Council Facilities.
Charters Towers Regional Council is based in Charters Towers, an easy 90 minute drive inland from Townsville. Charters Towers is a regional centre for several major industries including mining, beef, tourism and education.
It has many renowned attractions including historical sites,
adventures, fabulous walks and drives with an outstanding country lifestyle on offer.
Council is focused on delivering quality services and is financially sound, with a total budget of $60M and 220 staff.
This is a new position in Council’s structure, bringing responsibility for the operations, maintenance and development of Council facilities (145 Council buildings, 4 airports, 4 pools and the saleyards / equestrian centre) into one area.
The position reports directly to the Director Infrastructure Services and is a key member of the Infrastructure Services Management Team. The successful applicant will bring well developed Leadership skills, the right attitude aligned with Councils Values and demonstrated experience.
