Applications are invited for the key role of Executive Manager Development, within City Planning Development and Transport group.

This exciting and challenging role will be responsible for ensuring the City delivers high quality, timely and cost effective outcomes in the areas of City Development, Planning and Transport.

As part of the senior leadership team, you will:

  • champion the digital transformation of work flows in development assessment;
  • take a customer - centric perspective
  • empower and support the group's management team;
  • build a culture of team work and continued process improvement;
  • drive excellence in compliance implementation and timeliness of outcomes; and,
  • contribute to the strategic direction of the City.

With relevant tertiary qualifications and a deep understanding of Local Government, you will have proven experience in compliance strategies that address changing development, health, building and environmental needs across broad and varied community groups. You will have a track record in the successful implementation of organisational development and process improvement initiatives in a complex service delivery environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have exceptional leadership and communication skills, astute political judgement and accountability in decision-making. The ability to work with a wide variety of key stakeholders at commercial, and local, state and federal government levels is essential.
