The City of Sydney plays a key role in educating and advocating for transport reform at the Local Government and State Government levels.
We are seeking a skilled and enlightened traffic engineer / transport planner / transport policy analyst to join the dynamic City Access and Transport team.
The purpose of the position is to integrate transport and land use activity with transport linkages that are both accessible and integrated, promote access and equity for people with a disability to public transport facilities, as well as provide advice on the transport implications of development in accordance with the City's objectives.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications or significant experience in either Transport Planning, Traffic Engineering or Transport Policy Analyis;
- Strong and proven skills and experience in achieving integrated transport outcomes in complex inner city contexts;
- Strong and proven capabilities in balancing the requirements of movement and place;
- Well-developed understanding of relationship between land use and transport;
- Ability to work in an agile team environment balancing a varied workload.
