A fantastic opportunity exists for a skilled and experienced Building Surveyor, with extensive experience in Local Government and A1 or A2 level Building Professional Board accreditation, to join our team at Mid-Western!

Employed as a Senior Building Surveyor within Council's Health and Building Team, you will be responsible for carrying out the functions of a Principle Certifier on behalf of Council.

The role involves, but is not limited to:

  • Coordinating programs and undertake inspections as required to ensure Council meets its obligations regarding legislative requirements;
  • Issuing Part 4A Certificates and assess Development Consents for minor developments;
  • Providing technical health and building expertise and advice to the Manager Health and Building, other staff and the public on those related matters.

It is required the successful candidate will be an excellent communicator as you will provide technical and policy advice to persons of all levels and be confident in negotiating conflict to achieve satisfactory outcomes. Having the ability to provide supervision and mentor team members will be treated favourably.

We offer a salary range of $3135-$3528 gross per fortnight (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience) plus superannuation, over a 19 day month with long service leave after 5 years. A leaseback vehicle will be made available to the successful candidate.
